Home Remedy - Mint Balm

Dry 200 gms mint (Mentha piperita) leaves in a shade and mix them with 300 ml of olive oil and leave for a week.The aroma and properties of the mint would have transferred to the oil by now.
In a sieve you can separate the oil from the leaves,and use the leaves as a foot pack and then could be added to your compost pile,they lend a lovely aroma to the compost.Bring the oil to slow heat and add grated beeswax(50gms)and some castor oil to this mixture,stirring all the while.The mixture can be removed for cooling once mixed and bottled when cooled down.ta da,your home made remedy is ready.

Reetha tree (Sapindus mukorossi) a tree native to north india ,and is a great traditional home remedy for hair repair,lice /dandruff control and keeps hair tangle free. Shikakai tree (Acacia concinna) is a great natural chemical free hair conditioner and detoxifies the blood of the scalp,thus preventing fungal infections.Shikakai seedpods are rich in Vitamins A,C,D,E and K while Reetha seedpods are great for sensitive skin's as they are chemical free natural hair care remedies.
The seedpods contain saponin,which makes a soap-like foamy lather when mixed with water.
A great home hair wash remedy would be mixing two parts reetha with one part shikakai and half cup methi and leaving this is one litre of water for a week.Dried hibiscus plant leaves can then be added and mixed to form a paste in a mortar and pestle or a blender.There you go,a fine home remedy for hair repair and care.who needs them expensive chemical based shampoos anyway..
